Motels
A motel is much smaller than a motel and are
typically only one to two stories high. Motels are conveniently
placed right off of highways or long stretches of road so that you
can make a one or two night stop. This was the first developmental
purpose of a motel. Weary travelers were able to pull off on the
side of the road, walk into the reception area, book their room and
walk back out, key in hand.
Motels usually have their own private doors and each door typically
walks outside instead of into a hallway like that of a hotel.
Sometimes a motel will have an area for sitting or viewing although
they are generally without the luxurious amenities that a hotel
offers which is why they are only recommended for a short
stay. For that, motels are offering a lot of things: TV, computer for playing online games and more. So if you're on your next trip stopping by in a motel with computers and internet, log in and try out online games like Seafight to have a little fun.
The wonderful thing about a motel is that they many of them are
fairly secluded away from the hustle and bustle of large inner
cities and rates are generally pretty cheap. While you may not find
room service and a pool, what you will find is that the convenience
can be quite a life saver. Motels are especially convenient for
cross country drives. Instead of stopping at a hotel each and every
night and paying the higher fees, you can stop at a hotel and lay
your head down to rest just as comfortably and at a great low
price.
Motels are set up in locations that truckers may find convenient as
well. Many truckers read a book and have to travel in order to get a shipment
through on time which means very short stops, ranging from a few
hours to a night, for sleep. A motel will get the job done since
the trucker can simply pull up, book a room and relax. The
availability of rooms in a motel also tends to be higher since
those passing through are only looking to spend the night.
